John Gildea

Tullycartron, Elphin, Co. Roscommon and formerly of Leitrim North, Cloonacool, Co. Sligo - Ex Garda Siochana - after a brief illness, at Sligo University Hospital, surrounded by his family.

14^th February, 1953 - 14th August, 2024

Predeceased by his beloved wife Christina (née Healy) and parents Sonny and May.

John will be very sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving daughter Zara (Fallon, Tarmonbarry), son Keith, son-in-law Tony, Keith’s fiancée Michele, adored grand-children Cohan, Jacob, Rian, Erín and Croia, brothers Brendan, Kevin and Gerard, sisters-in-law Josephine, Monica and Claire, brother-in-law Joe Feely, Aunt Francie, nephews, nieces, cousins, good neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Brady’s Funeral Home, Elphin, on Friday evening (16th Aug.) from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock.

Removal on Saturday morning to St. Patrick’s Church, Elphin, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock.

John will be laid to rest afterwards in the New Cemetery, Elphin.
