Bernadette Shevlin née Leonard (better known as Bernie),
Upper Barrack Street, Belmullet, Co. Mayo and formerly of Ballinamue, Crossmolina - peacefully at the Belmullet Community Hospital - surrounded by her loving family on 20th February 2024.
Predeceased by her infant daughter Loretta, parents Patrick and Bridget, sisters May, Cell, Ita, Pauline, Loretta and Clare.
Beloved wife of J.J. (Dodie) and dear mother of Anne (Galway), Tom (Wales), Gerry (Belmullet), Sean (Belmullet), Fabian (Belmullet), Padraig (U.K.), Cathal (Belmullet) and Leonard (Belmullet).
She will be sadly by her heartbroken family, daughters-in-law, cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors, management, nurses and staff of the Belmullet Community Hospital for the kindness, care and dignity which was shown to Bernie while in Hospital.

Remains reposing at McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Thursday evening from 5 o’clock until 8 o’clock.
Funeral will arrive at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Belmullet on Friday afternoon for Funeral Mass at 1 o’clock followed by burial in Glencastle New Cemetery.
Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired to the Palliative Care Unit at the Belmullet Community Hospital, c/o McDonnell Funeral Directors, Belmullet.
