Ann Connaughton nee Folan,
Fearna Manor Nursing Home, Castlerea, and formerly of Granlahan, Co. Roscommon and of Muigh-inis, Carna, Conamara, Co. Galway. March 20th, 2023 (peacefully), at Fearna Manor Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents Seán and Máire, her brother Páraic and her sister Bríd. Ann, loving mother to Ian (Canada), Gearóid (Ballyhaunis), Rónán (Australia) and Áine (Jordan, Granlahan). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons and daughter and their father Martin, her grandchildren Caoimhe, Saoirse, Oisín, Darragh, Cathal, Aoibhínn, Órlaith and Arlen. Also, by her sisters Máirín (De Brún, Muigh-inis), Peigí (Ni Chualáin, Knocknacarra), Kathleen (Sweeney, Athlone), Barbara (Baba) (Sweeney, Mullingar) and her brother Jackie (Carna), son-in-law Paul, daughters-in-law Miriam and Aoife and Gearóid’s partner, Louise, brothers-in-law Duncan, PJ and sister-in-law Nóra, nieces, nephews, extended Folan and Connaughton families’ neighbours and friends.

May She Rest in Peace

Reposing in McDonagh’s Funeral Home, Castlerea, on Thursday evening from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral arriving at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Carna, Conamara, Co. Galway, on Friday morning, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in Muigh-Inis Cemetery, Carna. 

Ann’s Funeral Mass will be live-streamed and can be viewed on www.mcdonaghfuneraldirectors.ie/live-stream from 10.50 am.
