Motorists will have a cold and frosty start in much of the country today.
A status yellow 'low temperature' warning remains in affect across Munster, Ulster, Connacht and west Leinster.
The Met Éireann alert warns of sharp to severe frost, with temperatures as low as minus-3 degrees in places.
The warning remains in place until 11am.
