A General Election candidate has made the call for energy companies to be brought back under public control and ownership.
People Before Profit’s Joe Daly says Ireland’s electricity costs are at the highest in Europe.
He believes that action needs to be taken to bring electricity back into public control to make to cost more affordable for householders.
