The Atlantic Technological University (ATU) has today received government funding of over €6m in grants for research equipment and infrastructure upgrades.
Minister of State, Alan Dillon TD says it’s a major boost for the region.,The funding was announced by Fine Gael Minister Patrick O’Donovan under the Higher Education Research Equipment Grant and under the Devolved Capital Grant.
The funding is for ATU campuses across Mayo, Sligo, Galway and Donegal, and will allow for the purchase of world-leading research equipment to serve the research and development needs of Irish industry.
