People Before Profit has selected Joe Daly as the party’s General Election candidate in Mayo.
The Castlebar secondary school teacher ran in the previous General Election in 2020.
He also ran in the 2019 and 2024 Local Elections, and was eliminated after the eighth county in June.
It is expected that the Election will be called for November, following a meeting of coalition leaders last night in Government Buildings.
