Ireland is on course to record 200 road deaths for the first time in almost 15 years.
Road deaths in July were the worst for a decade with fatalities soaring to 115 so far in 2024.
A roads enforcement campaign over the bank holiday weekend detected almost one thousand people speeding while 127 people were arrested for driving under the influence of drink/drugs.
