487 patients were waiting for a bed at Irish hospitals this morning.

The INMO's Trolleywatch figures show 353 patients were waiting in emergency departments, while 134 were in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

103 of those patients were based in University Hospital Limerick, 49 at Letterkenny University Hospital and 46 at Cork University Hospital.

In this region there are 41 patients on trolleys at University Hospital Galway, 32 at Sligo University Hospital, 15 at Mayo University Hospital and three patients waiting for a bed at Portiuncula University Hospital in Ballinasloe.
