The number of people arrested for drug offences has increased by over 10-thousand in the last decade.
Almost 30-thousand arrests were made last year, compared to just over 19,300 in 2014.
Already this year, Gardaí have made 14,203 arrests for drug-related crimes according to figures obtained by Aontú leader Peadar Tóibín.
The Dublin region makes up around half that total.
