Details of a new law to ensure access to cash have been published by the Government.
The Bill aims to maintain cash levels at December 2022 levels.
It also states a specified percentage of the population is no more than 10 kilometres from an ATM.
There should be a specified number of ATMs per 100 thousand people.
Minister for Finance Jack Chambers says it is imperative to ensure cash remains widely available and accessible.
