The Taoiseach has condemned last night's assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
In a statement on social media, Simon Harris says what we saw last night from Pennsylvania was frightening and wrong.
He says it's a relief that former President Trump is safe and survived the assassination attempt.
He says our hearts are with the innocent spectators killed and critically injured, adding there can be no place for political violence.
