Gardai are continuing to investigate all the circumstances surrounding an attempted burglary in East Mayo yesterday.
It’s understood a man fired gun shots at a van that was involved at an attempted burglary at his property in Aghamore near Ballyhaunis.
Two men fled on foot which led to an extensive Garda search around the East Mayo area.
Investigations are ongoing this morning.
