A county Sligo school has received a national award at the All island Junior Entrepreneur Programme Awards announced today.
Fifth and Sixth Class Class at Corballa National School, Co. Sligo received the Go Green Award for their JEP business Know When To Sow.
The project was one of just 12 category winners out of 200 projects submitted.
The Junior Entrepreneur Programme is a real-life, immersive entrepreneurship skills programme for 5th and 6th-class primary schoolchildren; it nurtures confidence, resilience, creativity, problem-solving and teamwork and engages pupils of all abilities.
The Go Green Award celebrates classes that have sustainability at the heart of their JEP project.
