The RSA and An Garda Siochana have today launched their Easter Bank Holiday Road Safety Appeal.
It aims to encourage motorists to reduce their speed and look out for all road users, including cyclists.
Last year, there were five deaths and 18 serious injuries on the roads over the same bank holiday weekend.
