A Roscommon TD says she has received correspondence from the Department of Integration that modular accommodation planned for Ballaghaderreen will now not go ahead.
The news comes following a public meeting two weeks ago over plans to develop a number of units on Circular road in Ballaghaderreen.
It was also confirmed last week that the proposed modular homes development will not go ahead in Roscommon and Boyle.
Sinn Fein TD Claire Kerrane told Midwest Radio's Alannah Nolan that the resources that have been promised to Ballaghaderreen for a number of years need to be introduced to safely cater for the population of the town..
