A Castlebar Councillor has expressed disappointment over the exclusion of the Castlebar parade in RTÉ’s round-up of St. Patrick’s Day parades across the country.
Councillor Martin McLoughlin said while he was delighted to see highlights of the Swinford event on the national stage, he could not understand why the county town which had the biggest parade in Mayo, wqas overlooked.
He says he will be contacting the station to let them know of the town’s disappointment after such a huge effort was invested by the organisers and community groups.
