President Michael D. Higgins is expected back in Aras an Uachtaran early this week.
He was taken by ambulance to St James' Hospital on Thursday as a precaution and has remained there since to monitor his blood pressure.
The Aras has confirmed that the President was 'in good form' and he will remain in hospital as a precaution until early this week.
