A Mayo woman has been appointed as President of the Veterinary Council of Ireland.
Ballina based practitioner Rachel Brown was appointed President of the VCI following an uncontested election by Veterinary Council members at the most recent VCI meeting which took place on 25 January 2024.
She assumes the office of President with immediate effect.
Rachel is a Veterinary Practitioner in Moy Veterinary Clinic, a mixed practice serving companion animal and farm animals based in Ballina. Rachel has served as Deputy President of the VCI for the last two years.
