A man has died following a single vehicle collision at Lisduff, Claremorris this evening.
The collision occurred at around 6:15pm this evening, and the man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardaí and Emergency Services are currently at the scene and the N17 between Ballindine and Claremorris will be closed overnight.
Local diversions are in place through both Ballindine and Claremorris.
The services of Forensic Collision Investigators have been requested.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N17 in the Lisduff area at the time of the collision are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
