The stretch of the N17 between Collooney and Ballinacarrow in County Sligo is expected to reopen to traffic within the next hour.
This comes following a collision this morning that caused long delays for motorists near the Ballymote turn off, also known as Clarke’s Bridge.
An Garda Síochána have confirmed that the vehicles involved in the collision are in the process of being removed.
It has also been confirmed that at least one person involved in the incident has sustained minor injuries.
