It will be night of celebration tonight (Friday) at the Breaffy House Hotel, Castlebar as the thirteen winners of 2023 Mayo People of the Year Awards are presented.
The annual awards are organised by Mayo Rehab working with Mayo County Council and the Connaught Telegraph.
Funds raised from tonight’s Gala Awards Dinner go towards the services of Mayo Rehab, an organisation that works with children, adults, and older persons with disabilities and with their families.
At tonight’s event, there are Youth Awards, a Hall of Fame Award, Gradam na Gaeilge Award, the Business Liaison Award, and the Diaspora Award together with a number of Mayo People of the Year titles.
Groups and individuals from across the county, who are local heroes in their communities, will be presented with their awards tonight.
