A memorial service is being held in Dublin this afternoon to mark the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.
166 people have lost their lives on the roads since the start of the year, compared to 140 around the same time last year.
Representatives from the Road Safety Authority and Dublin City Council are attending the event, with more services planned across the rest of the week.
