Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the sudden death of a man in his sixties at the pool in the McWilliam Park Hotel in Claremorris yesterday evening.
The incident happened at around 7pm and there is no foul play suspected.
The body was removed to Mayo University Hospital where a post mortem will be carried out in due course.
