It's hoped the sale of vapes to under 18 year olds will be illegal by Christmas.
The move to do so was voted in by TD's in the Dail last night.
The bill now goes to the Seanad and if it gets the green light there the President will be asked to sign it into law.
It will also see advertising of vapes banned on public transport and close to schools.
