Long hospital trolley wait times, are increasing the likelihood of unnecessary deaths

That's according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation which says patients spending more than 6 hours on a trolley also take longer to recover from illness.

5,210 patients have been without a bed in Irish hospitals since the beginning of September.

General Secretary Phil Ní Sheaghdha says it poor practice.
