14 weather stations broke September temperature records during last week's hot spell.

Met Éireann says there were heatwave conditions between last Monday and Friday at four stations in Roscommon, Carlow, Tipperary and Clare.

While 24 Met Éireann weather stations had the highest temperature of the year last week.
