The National Transport Authority is calling for camera surveillance of bus lanes and cycle paths.
It claims cameras would help Gardaí to ensure the benefits of BusConnects are not "eroded by widespread breaches".
BusConnects will see 230 kilometres of dedicated bus lanes created in a major redesign of the network.
