Homes and businesses in the Headford area will have a more reliable water supply in the next few weeks.

Councillor Mary Hoade has received confirmation from Irish Water that they are to replace 700m of old water mains which are susceptible to regular bursts.

The new pipes to be installed will put a stop to outages and leaks and provide a stronger supply to homes and businesses in the area.

Traffic light systems will be in place throughout the operation with the work being done in short sections to minimise impact and local restraint.
