Fine Gael TD Alan Dillon has welcomed funding of a combined total of over €31k for Minister for two Agriculture local agri-food tourism projects in County Mayo under the 2023 Rural Innovation and Development Fund through the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.
The Gourmet Greenway, Mulranny is set to receive €9,901.50 while the North Mayo Heritage Centre will get €21,800.
Deputy Dillon says he is delighted to see both projects receiving this funding today.
Agri food tourism in rural areas offers prospects for rural enterprises, encompassing farmers, producers, and artisans, to enhance their products and services, foster connections with the community and tourists, and refine their skills and best practices.
