In honour of their Mayo mother, Elaine Tolan (nee Neary), who bravely battled MND Motor Neuron Disease (MND) until her death last December, James and Oisín Tolan plan to run from Dublin to Mayo next month, to make a difference to the lives of those affected by the devastating illness.
On Tuesday, the 27th of June, James and Oisin will depart from Carpenterstown, Dublin and run 220km to Foxford.  Their Mom was a native of Foxford, as is their Dad -  Pearse.
Every stride taken on VOYAGE4ELAINE will echo Elaine's bravery, as she fought against MND for eight years. They also want to shine a light on the disease and provide assistance to individuals and families facing the challenges of living with the disease.

All donations from the mammoth run will be divided between the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) - the only organisation of its kind nationally providing care and support to people with MND, and St Francis Hospice in Dublin.
James and Oisin intend to push themselves to their limits in memory of their mother and are reminding everyone that small contributions can bring about significant change. “Together, we can create a brighter future for the darkness MND causes”.
Donations can be made at idonate  - VOYAGE4ELAINE
