A new Local Link service gets underway from Monday next (22nd May) from Tuam to Galway.

Fianna Fáil TD for Galway East and Minister for Disability, Anne Rabbitte, has confirmed the new service and says that Route 438 will operate 3 daily return trips 7 days per week, connecting Tuam and Headford.

It will link from Corrandulla into Galway, passing Lough Corrib and provide improved connectivity to University Hospital Galway.

The Minister says it’s an important service, providing essential local infrastructure and it’s part of the Government’s Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan for 2023.
