Eircodes have been a great Irish success story, and have made life easier for homeowners across the country.
That’s according to Fine Gael Deputy Michael Ring.
In 2015, Ireland’s National postcode system, known as Eircode, was rolled out, and every building in the country now has its own unique Eircode to make it easy to be located.
The system has been particularly important for ambulances, as it allows the driver to locate a home quickly and help patients sooner.
The Mayo Deputy says Eircodes will now be rolled out on a monthly basis for new builds rather than quarterly.
