A Property Marking event will be held at Ballymote Mart later this month.
On Thursday 25th May, between 10am – 12 noon people from across the region are encouraged to bring in any valuable work tools, lawn mowers, bicycles and other household items to be stamped with the householders own Eircode.
Local Fine Gael councillor Dara Mulvey, a member of the Sligo Joint Policing Committee, had sought a date and venue for a local Property Marking event.
He says it assists both Gardai and owners of valuable property in the case of theft, as the Telesis machine will engrave your personal Eircode on to your valuable items which if stolen and located, will ensure the return of the property to the rightful owner.
