Inis Turk Beg, in Clew Bay, has been named as one of Ireland’s strangest places to stay on vacation.
The irishcentral.com website compiled the list of different holiday locations across the country, picking their most weird and wonderful.
They detail:
'The infrastructure on the island was developed by Nadim Sadek, an Irish-Egyptian marketing entrepreneur, who later sold the island. According to MyHome.ie Inishturk Beg covers 65 acres with as many as 5 island houses, a pier, a floating marina and a magnificent main residence.'
The Schoolhouse at Annaghmore in Collooney, Co Sligo has also been put on the list, as well as the Gyreum Ecolodge in Corlisheen, Riverstown ,Co Sligo.
