A boil water notice has been issued to those being supplied by the Clare Island Public Water Supply Scheme.
Following consultation with the HSE, Uisce Éireann and Mayo County Council have issued a boil water notice to protect the health of approximately 160 consumers.
This comes following the detection of cryptosporidium in the water supply.

The notice was issued on Friday with immediate effect.
