Plans by Government to free up an extra 12,000 rental homes have been delayed.
The EU last night put off plans for laws underpinning a new Air'bnb register until the end of this year.
It had been hoped it would be in place by the end of this month and would have clamped down on short-term holiday lets, freeing up more long-term rental properties.
However the Irish Independent reports it's now unlikely to be considered by the European Commission until December.
