Detectives in Castlebar are investigating the theft of a Trailer from the premises of Heneghan’s Plant Hire in Breaffy Co Mayo in the early hours of yesterday morning of Wednesday 22 March 2023.
The premises is on the main Castlebar to Balla Road N60. The theft happened between 3am and 330 am in the morning where the trailer was hitched up to a SUV type vehicle and driven away from the location.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was travelling on the N60 or the local roads in the Breaffy and Balla areas between 3am and 4am and who saw a SUV pulling a trailer at that time. The trailer was a “tipper” type trailer and was partially raised when it was taken and as such would have been distinctive to anyone who was travelling at the time. The trailer is a “Brian James Cargo Tipper trailer” .
Gardaí are appealing particularly to anyone who may have camera footage (including dash cam) is asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí. Additionally anyone who is offered this type of trailer is asked to contact Gardaí with any concerns regarding ownership.
