Minimum unit pricing for alcohol in Scotland's been linked to a 13-percent drop in deaths related to drinking.
Research in The Lancet suggests 156 deaths per year on average in Scotland may have been prevented due to the pricing policy.
It was introduced there May 2018 and came into force here in Ireland in January of last year.
