The funeral Mass is taking place today of Irish born nurse/paramedic Fiona Lavelle, who died while hiking in Australia some weeks ago.
Fiona (41), who lived in Perth with her husband Castlebar native - John McLoughlin, passed away suddenly on February 21st.
Fiona is a native of Crumpaun, Keel, Achill, where her parents, Hannah and Michael are living.
She is also survived by her sisters, as well as other relatives.
Her funeral Mass is taking place this morning at 11am in St. Patrick's Church, Pollagh, Achill.
A private cremation will take place this afternoon at 4pm in Shannon Crematorium.
