Goss.ie held their eighth annual awards show ‘The Gossies 2023’ on Saturday March 4 in Dublin’s Convention Centre.

The award for Newcomer of the Year went to Castlebar native Alan Clarke.

Recent ventures into the world of fashion with Northern Hemisphere along with his brand of Kookie Gin have grown Alan’s following across his social media accounts.

He currently has over 180,000 followers between his Instagram (105k), Tiktok (39k), Facebook (35k) and Twitter (3k) accounts.

Best actress on the night went to Derry Girls star Nicola Coughlan, while Banshees of Inisheerin’s Barry Keoghan won best actor.

The Ireland AM duo of Muireann O’Connell and Tommy Bowe picked up Best Female TV Presenter and Best Male TV Presenter respectively.

While Westlife were recognised as Best Music Act.
