The centre of all roundabouts constructed as part of the new dual carriageway from Turlough to Westport will be grass rather than brick.
That's according to Westport Based councillor Christy Hyland.
The issue was raised with TII about what would be placed in the centre of those roundabouts.
TII say they will be grass and that the county council will be responsible to ensure they are maintained.
Independent councillor Hyland says he will be making sure they are maintained as it could cause very serious accidents if a drivers view is blocked.
