The West of Ireland Women’s Mini-Marathon will be held in Ballina for the first time this year.
The event has been held in Castlebar since its first outing in 2010, but switches to Ballina on Bank Holiday Sunday, April 30.
Mayo Sports Partnership, Moy Valley and Ballina Athletic Clubs, Ballina Municipal District, Ballina 2023, Mayo.ie and the Western People are among the organizations involved in the staging of the event.
This comes to Ballina as the town celebrates 300 years since its official establishment.
The launch of the mini-marathon will take place at St Mary’s Secondary School this Friday, February 10 at 1:30PM.
