The Alzheimer Society of Ireland (ASI) is inviting new service users to its Castlebar Daycare Centre. The ASI Daycare Centre provides dementia-specific, person-centred care to meet the needs of anyone with dementia in a warm, and safe environment while providing support and stimulation.
The ASI works with each person to ensure they feel comfortable and supported and meet their individual needs as far as possible.
An estimated 2,279 people live with dementia in Mayo and 64,000 people live with dementia in Ireland.
The ASI Nurse Manager for Castlebar, Mary Rowland, says they are inviting anyone living with dementia and their families in Castlebar and across the county to make enquiries and join the service.
