Eight Mayo fire stations are hosting recruitment open days tomorrow, (Saturday)

It’s an opportunity for the public to meet the fire crew teams, tour the facilities, and learn about the requirements for becoming a firefighter.

Highly trained and dedicated firefighters are at the forefront of protecting our communities and responding to emergencies. The role of a firefighter involves much more than fighting fires – you might also be involved in rescuing people from hazardous situations, providing medical assistance, and educating the public about fire safety.

Firefighters will be available at the eight locations tomorrow to meet the public and answer any questions.

Achill Sound, Ballyhaunis, Claremorris, Ballina, Charlestown and Westport fire stations will hold their open day from 3pm to 5pm tomorrow afternoon, Swinford 10am to 12 noon and Kiltimagh 11am-1pm.

Mayo Fire Officer Michael D’Alton has been giving more details to Midwest News....
