Publicans are calling for drink suppliers to fix their prices for the next two years.

The price of a pint of Guinness is set to increase by an average of 25 cent from today.

Drink producer Diageo is increasing the price of its products by 12 per cent from today.

John Clendennen owns and manages the Giltraps Pub in Kinnitty, County Offaly.

He's also a local Fine Gael councillor, and the president-elect for the Vintners' Federation of Ireland.

He says publicans can't deal with any further price increases from suppliers...
