Gardaí are investigating an assault on a man in his 20s that occurred at approximately 12:15pm yesterday, at a premises on the Neale Road in Ballinrobe, County Mayo.

 

The injured male was taken to hospital where he is currently receiving treatment for serious injuries.

 

The scene was preserved and a technical examination was conducted.

 

Investigations are ongoing.

 

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.

 

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the Neale Road area of Ballinrobe between 11:30am and 12:30pm are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
