There are currently 407 people waiting for beds in Irish hospitals, according to today’s INMO trolly watch figures.

The worst effected is University Hospital Limerick, where there are 55 people on trollies.

Across the province there are 73 people waiting for beds.

25 people are waiting at Sligo University Hospital, 23 in Portiuncla Hospital in Ballinasloe, and 19 in University Hospital Galway.

In Mayo University Hospital there are six people waiting.

Of the national figure, 27 of the people are under the age of 16.
