Castlebar native, teacher Enoch Burke has turned up at Wilson’s Hospital School today, just days after he was dismissed as a teacher from the school.
Independent.ie is reporting that two uniformed gardaí arrived at the school in an unmarked car at around 11.15am this morning, although the reason for their presence is not known.
Enoch Burke arrived in an SUV driven by his father at around 8.30am this morning at Wilson’s Hospital School in Multyfarnham, Co Westmeath.
His father then came out the school gates around five minutes later and drove away, but Enoch was not in the car.
He appears to be remaining in the school grounds, as distinct from in the building.
Mr Burke was dismissed from his post at Wilson’s Hospital School late last week.
A statement on Friday on his behalf to the Irish Independent confirmed his employment had been terminated.
The move came a day after a disciplinary meeting attended by the teacher and members of his family descended into chaos.
Gardaí were called to the meeting, held by the school’s board of management last Thursday, after Mr Burke, his mother, sister and brother objected to the presence of two lawyers and the absence of the board’s chairman.
