All eyes will be on The Banshees of Inisherin as the Oscar nominations are revealed this lunchtime.

There are plenty of Irish names in the conversation in the acting categories.

Martin McDonogh is set to be in contention for Best Director and Screenplay for The Banshees of Inisherin, which is almost certain  to be nominated for Best Picture.

That movie, filmed extensively on Achill Island  could bring plenty of Irish nods, with Colin Farrell tipped to be nominated for Best Actor.

Brendan Gleeson and Barry Keoghan have a strong chance of inclusion for Best Supporting Actor, while Kerry Condon's in the conversation for a Best Supporting Actress nod.

Elsewhere, Colin Farrell could potentially be joined in the Best Actor Category by Paul Mescal for his role in Aftersun.

While Jessie Buckley's name may appear in the hotly contested Best Actress list.

While An Cailin Ciuin is in the running to be nominated for Best International Film.
